Kristen was born in Detroit but moved to Columbus, NE as a child so considers Nebraska her home. When she was about 10 years old, she decided she wanted to be a radio DJ since she loved to talk, listen to music and chat on the phone!

She got her first radio job while still in high school at KLIR/KJSK in Columbus, NE. She was introduced to Christian music on her very first radio shift on Sunday mornings! She worked part-time in radio in Columbia, MO while attending the University of Missouri where she earned her BA in Communications and English. (Although she is first and foremost a Husker fan!)

Kristen spent the last 11 years working in radio in California before she felt like God was calling her to come back home to Nebraska in 2010. She has loved spending time with her brothers, nieces and their families in Omaha and being close to her parents in Columbus.

Kristen is married and has two step-kids, Cody and Molly..  She and her husband, Dana, are expecting a baby girl in the Spring of 2013.  The family includes two dogs, an Irish Setter and Kristen’s baby, her Chihuahua Tessa
